Maxwell Award Watch List Features Key Quarterbacks

The 2024 Maxwell Award Preseason Watch List has been announced, featuring 80 players, including notable quarterbacks such as Tennessee's Nico Iamaleava, Ole Miss's Jaxson Dart, and Miami's Cam Ward. Iamaleava, the only freshman on the list, is recognized for his impressive Citrus Bowl performance, while Dart is coming off a record-setting season, leading Ole Miss to its first 11-win season. Miami's trio, including running back Damien Martinez and receiver Xavier Restrepo, highlights the Hurricanes' strong presence, alongside Utah's Cameron Rising, a previous semifinalist. Arizona's Noah Fifita and receiver Tetairoa McMillan also made the list, showcasing their standout performances from last season. The Maxwell Award, honoring the most outstanding college football player, plans to announce semifinalists on November 12 and finalists on November 26, with the winner revealed on December 12. This year marks the 88th iteration of the prestigious award.
