Ledecky, Marchand Lead as Flag Bearers

The closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics will feature prominent athletes as flag bearers, including swimmers Léon Marchand for France and Katie Ledecky for the United States. Marchand, who won four gold medals, and Ledecky, who earned four medals including two golds, will lead their respective countries in the parade. Director Thomas Jolly is expected to deliver a spectacular ceremony with over 100 performers, including acrobats and dancers, at the Stade de France. The event will also mark the handover of the Olympic flag to Los Angeles, the host of the 2028 Summer Games. Other notable flag bearers include Australia's Kaylee McKeown and Matt Wearn, and Ireland's Daniel Wiffen and Mona McSharry.
