Modi Assures Assistance Amid Telangana Floods

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached out to the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to discuss the severe flooding caused by heavy rains in both states. He assured them of all possible assistance from the Central Government, including deploying helicopters for rescue and relief operations. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy reported significant damages, particularly in Khammam district, and highlighted the state's proactive measures to prevent loss of life. Tragically, nine fatalities have been reported in Telangana due to the rain-related incidents. In Andhra Pradesh, unprecedented rainfall has disrupted normal life, leading to the evacuation of 17,000 affected individuals. The Prime Minister commended the state governments for their vigilance in managing the crisis and pledged support for recovery efforts.
