Assistant Pleads Guilty in Matthew Perry Overdose Death

Matthew Perry's tragic death on October 28, 2023, was the result of an accidental overdose of ketamine, compounded by multiple injections administered by his assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, who lacked medical training. Court documents reveal Perry and Iwamasa spent at least $55,000 on ketamine in the month leading up to his death, with Perry being found unconscious multiple times. Iwamasa has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death and faces up to 15 years in prison.
