Tennis doubles in Paris

Oliver Wilson and Peter Carrington from St Neots Tennis Club have advanced to the Play Your Way to Wimbledon national finals after winning all their matches in both the county and regional tournaments. The finals will take place over two days, starting on August 16, on the Aorangi practice courts at Wimbledon. In contrast, British duo Katie Boulter and Heather Watson faced disappointment in the women's doubles quarter-finals at the Olympics, losing 6-3, 6-1 to Italian pair Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini. Despite their strong performance leading up to the quarter-finals, Boulter and Watson struggled against the experienced Italians, who showcased aggressive play and minimal unforced errors. Boulter expressed that competing alongside Watson was a highlight of her career, despite the loss, emphasizing the joy of representing Team GB. Meanwhile, Andy Murray continues his Olympic journey with partner Dan Evans, aiming for a bronze medal after earlier victories.
