Serbia has signed an agreement with the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) to deploy Frontex personnel not only on its borders with EU countries but also on borders with third countries, enhancing the fight against cross-border crime and irregular migration. The EU has donated vehicles to the Serbian border police to support these efforts. This move is part of the EU Action Plan on the Western Balkans to strengthen border management and reduce irregular arrivals. Frontex will cooperate with Serbia to address irregular migration and enhance security in the region, with a focus on joint operations and deploying officers in various locations.
