Junior Hoilett Joins Hibernian from Aberdeen
Hibernian FC has officially signed 34-year-old Canadian winger Junior Hoilett on a one-year deal following his successful stint at Aberdeen, where he contributed three goals and eight assists in 15 appearances. Hoilett, who has an extensive career including over 500 matches and 63 caps for Canada, was brought in to enhance Hibs' attacking options after a disappointing start to the season. Hibernian boss David Gray and Sporting Director Malky Mackay praised Hoilett's high-level experience and leadership qualities, highlighting his potential to support younger players in the squad. Previously, Hoilett had been linked with extending his contract at Aberdeen but opted for a new challenge with Hibs. His arrival marks Hibs' sixth signing of the summer as they aim to strengthen their squad. Hoilett expressed excitement about joining the club and contributing to their efforts.
