Luke Littler Defeats Veteran Van Barneveld

Teenager Luke Littler, the rising star in darts, delivered a stunning performance by defeating Dutch legend Raymond van Barneveld 4-1 in the last 16 of the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace. Although not even born when Van Barneveld won his fifth world title in 2007, Littler took the opening set and never looked back against the veteran who will be retiring after this year's tournament. Littler is set to face Brendan Dolan in the quarter-finals. In other matches, Michael Smith fought back from 3-1 down to beat Kim Huybrechts 4-3, while Rob Cross survived a huge scare against Irish youngster Steve Lennon.
