Plane and Car Collide After Emergency Landing in NC
A small plane made an emergency landing on Interstate 840 in Greensboro, North Carolina, after experiencing mechanical failure on Wednesday night. The single-engine Beechcraft BE35 sent a distress call to Piedmont Triad International Airport before landing on the highway. After the plane stopped, a car hit it and injured one of the two people on board, who was treated for minor injuries. The driver of the car was unharmed. Both the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Greensboro police are investigating the incident. This event follows a similar emergency landing by a small plane on a South Carolina highway in May.
