Mets Sign Fujinami and Diekman to Bolster Bullpen

The New York Mets have signed Japanese right-handed relief pitcher Shintaro Fujinami and left-handed relief pitcher Jake Diekman to one-year deals. Fujinami's contract is worth $3.35m with $850k in incentives. He made his MLB debut with the Oakland A's in 2023, was later traded to the Orioles, and shows potential with a 98.4 mph fastball. Diekman also joined from Oakland last year, and his contract is worth around $4m with a vesting option for 2025.
