Hunter Injured by Bear and Gunshot in Alaska

A 32-year-old hunter in Alaska was seriously injured after being mauled by a brown bear and accidentally shot by his companions during the struggle. The incident occurred on Resurrection Pass Trail near Cooper Landing, south of Anchorage. Both hunters fired at the bear, which was eventually killed, but it's unclear who fired the shot that hit the man. The injured hunter received first aid on site before being airlifted to a hospital in Anchorage. The bear's remains were not recovered due to the medical emergency and the remote location.
