Drones Shot Down Near Moscow Region
On September 1, multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted and destroyed by air defense forces across various regions in Russia, including Voronezh, Tula, and near Moscow. Voronezh Governor Alexander Gusev reported that several drones were suppressed without any casualties or damage. Similarly, the Tula Regional Security Ministry confirmed the destruction of three UAVs, also with no reported injuries or damages. In the Moscow region, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated that two drones were shot down, one in Podolsk and another in Stupino, with emergency services responding to the debris locations. Additionally, in the Bryansk region, over 14 drones were suppressed, and while some damage occurred in Belgorod, there were no casualties. This series of events highlights ongoing drone threats in the region amid heightened security measures.
