APTRANSCO Wins Two Awards in Hyderabad

The Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd (APTRANSCO) has been honored with two prestigious awards at the Southern India level, recognizing its innovative contributions to the power sector. The corporation received the South Govtech Symposium Award for Digital Transformation Excellence for its Joint Meter Reading (JMR) application, which enhances the efficiency and security of meter readings. Additionally, APTRANSCO was awarded for its demand forecasting model developed by the State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) utilizing advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies. The awards were presented during a ceremony in Hyderabad on July 24, 2024, with key officials praising the IT and SLDC teams for their achievements. Special Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand emphasized the significance of these innovations in improving operational excellence and financial efficiency in the power sector.
