David Warner Retires from ODI and Test Cricket

David Warner, the Australian cricket opener, has announced his retirement from both One Day International and Test cricket but will continue to play in the T20 format. Warner will retire with immediate effect, having played his last ODI in the ICC World Cup final in India and his final Test match at the Sydney Cricket Ground against Pakistan. He retires from ODI cricket as the sixth-highest run-scorer in Australian history, with 6,932 runs, and from Test cricket with 8,695 runs at an average of 44.58, including 26 centuries. Despite his retirement from ODI and Test cricket, Warner will continue to play Twenty20 cricket for Australia. The decision to retire is to focus more on his family and his post-retirement plans include working as a commentator for Fox Cricket.
