Dayton man pleads guilty
Multiple individuals have recently been sentenced or are awaiting sentencing for serious crimes involving violence and sexual offenses. A Dayton man, Owensby, faces 11 to 16½ years in prison after pleading guilty to stabbing a pregnant woman over 30 times and beating her with a baseball bat, with homicide charges pending if the victim dies. In Cobb County, Wolford Kilgore received a 40-year sentence for sexually abusing a child, with the first 15 years without parole. Additionally, Santino Wilson, also from Dayton, pleaded guilty to multiple child porn charges and could spend over a decade in prison, while a Grand Forks man, Sebastain Hipsak, agreed to plead guilty to several sexual offenses against minors and faces a maximum of 10 years. All guilty pleas include provisions for registering as sex offenders and restrictions on contact with minors. Sentencing dates are set for September and December 2024 for some of these cases.
