This outreach aims to create stable regulations that foster innovation while protecting consumers, contrasting with the current administration's stringent approach. Despite this, some in the crypto community remain skeptical, demanding more direct statements from Harris herself. Meanwhile, the crypto industry has significantly increased its political spending, contributing $119 million in the current election cycle to influence favorable regulations. On the other hand, Republicans, including former President Donald Trump, have openly supported the crypto sector, promising reduced regulations and clearer guidelines. The Democratic Party's 2024 platform, however, notably omits any mention of Bitcoin or crypto, leaving the industry's future under a potential Harris administration uncertain.
