Akasa Air Launches Mumbai-Kuwait Flights

Akasa Air has launched daily direct flights between Mumbai and Kuwait City, marking its fifth international destination. The inaugural flight took place on August 23, 2024, departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and landing in Kuwait International Airport. The launch event featured a ceremonial lamp lighting and was attended by key members of Akasa Air’s Executive Committee and Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Adarsh Swaika. The Indian Embassy emphasized the significance of enhanced connectivity for business and tourism between the two countries. This new service aims to boost both passenger and cargo capacity, catering to the rising demand for travel between India and Kuwait. Akasa Air's expansion into the Middle East reflects its strategy to strengthen international operations and serve growing market needs.
