M.K. Stalin Launches Tamil Nadu House Project

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for new buildings at the Tamil Nadu House in New Delhi, with the project costing ₹257 crore and designed to withstand seismic forces. The redevelopment plan, which involves demolishing existing structures, was initiated following the reclassification of New Delhi as Seismic Zone-IV. The new complex will include a VVIP block, guest house block, and staff quarters over a total area of 3 lakh sq. ft, featuring various accommodations and facilities such as suite rooms, dormitories, a multi-purpose hall, and a fitness center. The initiative reflects the state's commitment to modernizing infrastructure to better serve government officials and dignitaries visiting the capital. The project is expected to significantly enhance the living conditions and working environment for these officials. The foundation-laying event, held virtually from Chennai, was attended by key government figures, highlighting the administration's focus on improving amenities for its representatives.
