Gotham Sports App Launches for New York Fans

The YES Network and MSG Networks have announced the launch of The Gotham Sports App, a bundled streaming service that will allow fans to watch games from seven New York area teams, including the Yankees, Knicks, Nets, Rangers, Islanders, Devils, and Sabres. The app, which is part of their joint venture Gotham Advanced Media and Entertainment (GAME), will be available ahead of the NBA and NHL seasons. Subscribers to YES and MSG via traditional pay-TV will receive the app at no extra cost, while others can subscribe for $359.99 annually or $41.99 monthly. This move aims to simplify access to local sports amid increasing fragmentation in sports media. The app will also feature advanced live stats, real-time games, and a loyalty program. Notably, the Mets and their regional network SNY are not part of this venture.
