Bo Nix to Start Week 1 for Broncos
Bo Nix has been named the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos, making him the first rookie to start a season opener since John Elway in 1983. Coach Sean Payton decided to rest Nix for the preseason finale against the Arizona Cardinals, allowing Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson to share the workload. Despite a strong performance in the preseason, Nix's selection leaves questions about the roles of Stidham and Wilson, although Payton is considering keeping all three quarterbacks on the roster. Nix's college coach, Dan Lanning, and former Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning have both expressed confidence in Nix's abilities and potential. The Broncos open their season on September 8 against the Seattle Seahawks.
