Black History Month: Celebrations and Advocacy
Aleanya G. Moore, Dean of Students at a charter school in Indianapolis, is competing in Ms Black Midwest in 2024 and will move onto the Miss Black USA pageant. Moore is using her platform to promote her message of resilience and education. Meanwhile, Dr. Latorial Faison from VSU is leading a roundtable discussion at the Black History Month event hosted at Historic Southside High School Education Center in Richmond, Virginia. The event will feature alumni who attended the school during segregation. In other news, Dr. Carole Boyce Davies continues to advocate for a more inclusive form of education in Florida and Dora Anie's work in rural Ghana continues to be honored.
