Fawlty Towers in London

Fawlty Towers, the hit seventies sitcom, is coming to the West End in a stage play adaptation. The show will be directed by Caroline Jay Ranger and will star Adam Jackson-Smith as Basil Fawlty. Paul Nicholas, best known for the sitcom Just Good Friends, will play The Major. The original TV series was written by John Cleese and Connie Booth, and was first broadcast on BBC Two in 1975. The stage show, which is based on three episodes from the original series, will kick off in May at the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue.
