A leopard was sighted in the BRS Layout of Jigani, Bengaluru, early on September 1, causing panic among local residents. CCTV footage captured the leopard roaming the area, prompting immediate notifications to the police and forest officials, who conducted futile search operations. Residents reported that barking dogs alerted them to the leopard's presence. As a precaution, security guards in the area have been provided with firecrackers to deter the leopard if spotted again. Officials suspect the leopard may have wandered from nearby Ragihalli or Bannerghatta Forests. In light of previous sightings and incidents, residents are urging authorities to capture the animal quickly for their safety.
