Modi Inaugurates National District Judiciary Conference

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the National Conference of the District Judiciary on August 31, 2024, in New Delhi, which will celebrate 75 years of the Supreme Court of India by unveiling a commemorative coin and postage stamp. The two-day conference, organized by the Supreme Court under Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, will feature over 800 participants from across the nation and include six working sessions addressing critical issues such as infrastructure, judicial security, and inclusivity in courtrooms. Notably, President Droupadi Murmu will deliver the valedictory address on September 1 and unveil the Supreme Court's flag and insignia. The sessions aim to enhance human resources, ensure equitable access to justice, and discuss strategies for efficient case management and judicial training. The conference seeks to strengthen the district judiciary's operational capabilities and improve the overall judicial system.
