Jeweller Suresh Jain Foils Armed Robbery in Thane

A jeweller in Thane, Suresh Jain, bravely thwarted an armed robbery at his shop using a wooden stick, capturing one of the four robbers while the others fled. The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred when the assailants, brandishing firearms, entered the shop and threatened Jain. Despite a shot being fired, no injuries were reported. Local citizens helped apprehend the captured suspect, identified as Manoj Kumar, who has not cooperated with the police. Subsequent police investigations led to the arrest of another suspect, Sonu Khan, and a manhunt is ongoing for the remaining two robbers. Authorities believe the suspects had been planning the heist for weeks, having conducted a recce of the shop earlier.
