Search Continues for Missing 15-Year-Old Swimmer

A massive search operation is underway off Huntington Beach for a 15-year-old boy who went missing during a nighttime swim near Lifeguard Tower 11. The search, which began around 9 p.m. Sunday, involves the U.S. Coast Guard, Huntington Beach Fire Department, and Orange County Sheriff's Department, utilizing boats, helicopters, and ground crews. The boy, who was swimming with a friend, was swept away by strong tides and did not return to shore. Despite extensive efforts, including a search area expanded between Goldenwest Avenue and Balboa, the teen has not yet been found. Friends and classmates remain hopeful for his safe return.
