Following a distress call about a crash, police conducted a multi-agency rescue operation that located two individuals in the River Tyne, resulting in the seizure of their jet skis. Officers have emphasized the importance of responsible watercraft usage, as violators face potential criminal charges. Sergeant Simon Falconer highlighted the need for safety awareness during the busy summer months and informed that reckless riders could be penalized under new national laws.
