Missing Girl Found Safe, Man Arrested

After a nearly 60-day search, 12-year-old Maria Gomez-Perez has been found safe in Dover, Ohio, with a 34-year-old man named Antonio Agustin, whom she met online. The Hall County Sheriff's Office confirmed her safety and revealed that Maria had been chatting with Agustin and other adult men on Facebook Messenger. Agustin picked Maria up from her Gainesville home on May 29 and took her to Ohio. Authorities were able to track her location after Maria created a new Facebook account and messaged her father. Agustin has been arrested and is being held in the Tuscarawas County Jail. A $50,000 reward had been offered for information leading to her safe recovery.
