Chase Briscoe to Join Joe Gibbs Racing in 2025 with Multi-Year Deal
Chase Briscoe will join Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) in 2025, taking over the No. 19 Toyota Camry from Martin Truex Jr., who will retire at the end of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. Briscoe's move was initially leaked by fellow driver Christopher Bell but was officially confirmed by JGR. Briscoe's transition follows the closure of Stewart-Haas Racing, his current team. Joe Gibbs emphasized Briscoe's character and competitive spirit as key reasons for his selection. The partnership with Bass Pro Shops and Johnny Morris remains intact, and James Small will continue as the team's crew chief. Briscoe, currently 16th in the Cup Series standings, expressed excitement about the opportunity to compete for championships with JGR.
