Parents Urge Charges in Fatal Michigan Crash
The parents of 18-year-old Flynn MacKrell, who was killed in a high-speed crash in Grosse Pointe Farms, are urging Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy to charge the mother of the 16-year-old driver, Kiernan Tague. Text messages and evidence revealed that Tague's mother was aware of her son's reckless driving habits but failed to take action to prevent him from driving. Tague, who was driving over 100 mph in a residential area when he lost control of his vehicle, has been charged with second-degree murder and is awaiting trial. Flynn's parents argue that the mother's inaction contributed to their son's death, likening it to the precedent set by the Oxford School Shooting case where parents were held criminally responsible for their child's actions. The Wayne County Prosecutor's office is currently reviewing the case to determine if additional charges will be filed.
