AFL Coach Michael Voss Intervenes in Car Theft

Carlton AFL coach Michael Voss has been praised for performing a citizen's arrest on a teenage car thief after a luxury Mercedes crashed in Hawthorn, Melbourne, on August 27. While waiting for his coffee at the Barton Milk Bar, Voss witnessed the crash and saw two men attempt to flee the scene. He chased one of the suspects and successfully tackled him to the ground, holding him until police arrived. The second suspect managed to escape, and police have since confirmed the car was stolen a week prior. Voss was unharmed during the incident and returned to the café to complete his coffee order after the ordeal. Local witnesses and the café owner commended Voss's quick action in a tense situation.
