UK Thunderstorm Warnings for Sunday
The Met Office has issued a yellow thunderstorm warning for much of the UK, covering areas from southern England to the Midlands, north of England, and eastern Wales, effective from 4am to 9pm on Sunday. Heavy showers, thunderstorms, and up to 75mm of rain are expected, potentially causing flash flooding, power outages, and disruptions to transport services. The thunderstorms are predicted to move northwards throughout the day, with the greatest risk of intense rain, lightning strikes, and hail affecting southern and central England. Forecasters have warned that while many areas may miss the worst of the weather, the storms could lead to significant localized disruptions. The weather is expected to remain warm and humid, with temperatures reaching up to 25C in some areas.
