Marc Allen Appointed CEO of Electra.aero

Marc Allen has been appointed as the new CEO of Electra.aero, succeeding founder John Langford, who will remain as chairman. Allen, a veteran of Boeing with extensive experience in strategy and corporate development, is expected to lead Electra in developing its hybrid-electric aircraft, which aims to revolutionize air travel and military logistics. Under his leadership, the company plans to advance its eSTOL aircraft, designed for short take-off and landing on limited runways, which has already attracted over 2,000 orders. Allen's past roles at Boeing include Chief Strategy Officer and President of Boeing International, where he oversaw significant projects including the acquisition of Wisk Aero. Electra's ambitions extend to both civil and defense applications, leveraging innovative electric propulsion technology. This leadership change comes as Electra seeks to enhance its operational capabilities and carve out a niche in the hybrid-electric aviation market.
