Uttarakhand CM Honors Khatima Firing Martyrs

On the 30th anniversary of the Khatima firing incident, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the state's formation. During the ceremony at Shaheed Sthal in Khatima, Dhami emphasized the enduring debt owed by the people of Uttarakhand to these heroes and pledged to fulfill their dreams through ongoing development efforts. He highlighted the introduction of a 10% horizontal reservation system for state agitators and their families, demonstrating the government's commitment to their empowerment. Dhami also recalled the historical significance of the incident on September 1, 1994, which marked the first martyrdom in the movement for a separate Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister reiterated his administration's dedication to advancing the state in line with the aspirations of the martyrs, ensuring their contributions are never forgotten.
