On the 30th anniversary of the Khatima firing incident, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the state's formation. He highlighted the introduction of a 10% horizontal reservation system for state agitators and their families, demonstrating the government's commitment to their empowerment. Dhami also recalled the historical significance of the incident on September 1, 1994, which marked the first martyrdom in the movement for a separate Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister reiterated his administration's dedication to advancing the state in line with the aspirations of the martyrs, ensuring their contributions are never forgotten.
