The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) has announced plans to construct a new 51-acre campus, UTA West, in West Fort Worth, expected to open in fall 2028. Milliken described it as a major milestone for both the university and Fort Worth. Meanwhile, Texas A&M University is also expanding its presence in Fort Worth with a new Research and Innovation Building, further contributing to the region's educational and economic landscape. This new facility, alongside the ongoing development of the Law and Education Building, aims to create a collaborative environment akin to innovation hubs like Silicon Valley. Both universities' expansions are expected to significantly impact local demographics and economic development.
