Kuwait visa limit
Kuwait has launched deportation proceedings against individuals and their sponsors who have overstayed their visit visas, following directives from the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousuf Saud Al Sabah. The Ministry of Interior stated that both overstayers and sponsors, despite having valid residency permits, face deportation for violating visa regulations. The crackdown was prompted by investigations uncovering cases where sponsors allowed their husbands and children to overstay their visas. The ministry emphasized the need for strict adherence to visa limits, warning of legal repercussions for non-compliance. Brigadier-General Mohammad Al Wazzan announced upcoming amendments to residence laws aimed at strengthening oversight and imposing stricter penalties for violations, which will enhance the organization of Kuwait’s labor market. These reforms are also intended to protect workers' rights and improve job opportunities for Kuwaiti citizens.
