Michigan State Spartans Focus on Recruiting Priorities

Under head coach Jonathan Smith, the Michigan State Spartans are prioritizing linebacker and tight end positions in their recruiting strategy. Defensive Coordinator Joe Rossi has secured commitments from two three-star linebackers for the 2025 class and is eyeing 2027 prospect Liufau Loumoli. Meanwhile, wide receivers coach Courtney Hawkins has successfully recruited two three-star wide receivers and is focusing on 2026 recruit Justen Hodge.
