The European Ryder Cup team has revamped its qualification system for the 2025 event, prioritizing PGA Tour and major championship performances over DP World Tour events. The new single points list, replacing the previous dual-list system, awards 5,000 points for major championships, 3,000 for PGA Tour signature events, and 2,000 for DP World Tour Rolex Series events. LIV Golf results will not be recognized, though captain Luke Donald still has six picks to fill out the 12-man squad. The qualifying period starts on August 29 at the British Masters, with points from PGA Tour events counting from January 2024.
