Multiple Educators Arrested for Sexual Misconduct, Drug Charges
Recent investigations have led to the arrests of several educators on charges related to sexual misconduct and drug possession. In Winston-Salem, Kevin Edward Campbell, a teacher at Calvary Day School, was charged with indecent liberties with a student. Michael Ligon of Stem Preparatory Academy in Nashville was arrested for sexual battery by an authority figure. In Chesterfield County, Mary Horton was charged with felony child neglect and possession of methamphetamine on school property. Cory Alfaro from Wisconsin Dells Middle School faces charges for repeated sexual assault of a child, and Theodore Nugin, a former counselor at Dickinson College, was caught attempting to set up a sexual encounter with an undercover agent posing as a minor. Former St. Mary’s High School teacher Michael Hislop pled guilty to possessing child pornography and was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
